Brief moments captured on camera at one of the biggest and most rewarding fund raisers in the capital which is both fun and charitable in principle and action. As the mobile healthcare team in charge at five of the runners’ checkpoints, Love On Wheels was well prepared and groomed to attend to the healthcare needs of the runners. Fortunately there were no major medical emergencies, bar one case that was attended to immediately and received timely medical attention. The race raised sufficient funds for the organisations it supportsand their various activities. Malaysia’s Private Pension and Healthcare Conference 2011 – Exploring Solutions for the Ageing Healthcare Needs of the Nation.

Opened by Tan Sri Azlan Zainol, CEO of Employee’s Providence Fund of Malaysia, the mood was set to the urgency and importance of the growing healthcare needs of the aging population in our nation and the challenges in the medical, financial and social factors of our nation. All panellists and participants resonated with the urgency with discussions and question and answer sessions that followed throughout the day.
Various experts were invited as both speakers and panellists in the conference and the forums that followed throughout the day, resulting in learning and exchanging of ideas between participants and attendees. An important contribution to this conference was of course by our CEO, Mr.K. Mohan Kumar, who introduced the concept of mobile healthcare as a solution to the growing healthcare needs of the ageing population and the bridge in continuous care of a patient.
Amongst the key panel discussions that addressed the matter of collaborative strategies to support sustainable retirement through the financial and healthcare needs of the nation was the discussion on the affordability and quality of nursing care for the ageing population. As an invited speaker to this panel, Mr. K. Mohan Kumar shared his views on how mobile healthcare is poised as a feasible and sustainable solution to this pressing matter that faces both the ageing population and the young adult population that need to support the ageing needs and prepare for their eventual ageing needs in the near future. One resounding factor that emerged from this and all other discussions was a unified effort and solution in both the financial and healthcare structure between the private and government infrastructure.
